Jack Brennan, age 71, a longtime resident of Naperville, IL, passed away unexpectedly on April 6, 2025. He was born on March 31, 1954 in Chicago, IL. Jack is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Marsha (nee Stealy); his loving children, Sarah (Matthew) Dunne of Naperville, IL and Sean (Elizabeth) Brennan of Wheaton, IL; his cherished grandchildren, Braden, Cullen and Brigid Dunne, McKenna and Avelynn Brennan; his siblings, Joseph (Barbara) Brennan, Eileen (Noel) Blasing, Terrence Brennan, Michael (Laura) Brennan, and Kathleen (Michael) Sullivan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary (nee Kelly) Brennan. Born in Chicago, Jack moved with his family to Clarendon Hills, IL in 1967. He was a graduate of Hinsdale South High School, Class of 1972, and Lewis University, Class of 1976. He was blessed to marry Marsha G. Stealy in 1976. They started their lives and family while living in Woodridge from 1976-1989. In 1989 they moved to their permanent home in Naperville. Jack taught Spanish at Richards High School and St. Rita High School. In 1980 he began his longtime career at Hinsdale Central High School. “Senor Brennan” retired in 2010 after 30 years of teaching Spanish, and coaching track, football and basketball. He touched the lives of so many people, loved deeply, and traveled the world. His life was his family. Jack was taken from us too soon and unexpectedly, but will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
